Friends Review

Created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman

1994 - 2004

A woman named Rachel Green flees from her wedding day to escape an unfulfilling life and finds childhood friend named Monica Geller. She is a tightly wound but caring chef. Rachel becomes a waitress at West Village coffee house Central Perk after she moves into Monica's apartment and joins Monica's group of other single friends that live in the city. Phoebe Buffay, an eccentric masseuse and musician; neighbor Joey Tribbiani, a struggling actor and womanizer; Joey's roommate Chandler Bing, a sarcastic, self-deprecating data processor; and Monica's older brother and Chandler's college roommate Ross Geller, a caring but insecure paleontologist.

Overall, I thought that the show is humorous, unconventional, and balanced. Each character's traits contibute to the overall storylines of each episode which creates a unique connection between all of the main characters. They hold a special place in people's hearts when they want to look at what true friendship can be. Even though they all had their rough up and downs, there was always one person that was there for them when needed most.
