This show is a South-Korean survival themed show that is released on Netflix and can be viewed on their streaming platforms.
The main character, Seong Gi-hun is an older, divorced and indebted chauffeur who lives in his mother's home. He is invited to play a series of children's games for a chance at a large cash prize. He accepts the offer and is taken to an unknown location where he finds himself among 455 other players who are also deeply in debt. The players are made to wear green tracksuits and are kept under watch at all times by masked guards in pink jumpsuits, with the games overseen by the Front Man, who wears a black mask and black uniform.
The entire concept of this storline is quite extraordinary.
Overall, I think the plot of this show is thrilling, emotional, and daring. It gives a different perspective on a survival game concept. It messes with your mind in the fact that peple are fatally killed by not passing a children's game. The players are slowly being killed off until one person wins, earning 45.6 billion won. The worst part is that these individuals decided to play this game out of their own free will. They needed the money and life outside of the game was a lot more difficult to handle. The game master said that the game is democratic and "fair". However, you slowly descend into deep despair of what each player had to go through in order to win the prize money. After the character gets the prize money, he did not want to spend it. He was able to win, but what did it cost to get there?
